Well, it's been awhile.
For one of my classes this semester we have to keep a blog, so I decided to check out this old thing. Talk about a trip down memory lane. I feel a lot older than the lost little 18 year old who started a blog out of boredom. I was reading my old posts and damn I've really changed.
When I first started this blog I was fresh out of high school and not in a very happy state of mind. I was having moodswings and just generally lacking in hope. I didn't think the future was exciting or hopeful, it scared me. I didn't know what I wanted to do with my life, I didn't have a job, and my grammar was pretty bad too :P
Even though I've changed a lot, some things are still the same. I still love monkeys, and good music. I still can't tolerate feet, and I'm still barely five feet tall. But what has changed? Well, I have an amazing boyfriend now, my darling Kyle. We met back in March and at first we were just classmates, classmates became friends, and a few weeks ago we started dating. We're not just a couple, we're also best friends.
I also use a lot less profanities haha and I talk lyke a normal prson not lyke dis lmao.
Last year I decided to make use of my artsy-ness and do a course in art and design. I got my diploma, but it wasn't for me. I was devestated when I didn't get accepted into the next year, but this year I started studying English and New Media studies at AUT. And I'm really enjoying it, it's not like school at all.
Three years ago, I was the girl sitting in the back of the class laughing about turbans and doing as little work as I could. I never thought I would become a dedicated and hard-working student, or that I'd have a lovely boyfriend. I'm pleased I re-read this blog. I'm not going to delete any old posts, because I want this blog to be authentic. Even though I'm probably the only person who reads it atm :P
By the way, turbans are still awesome :D
